Royser

A carrier that covers the load it quotes

Royser runs dry van and Conestoga trailers behind its own Volvo tractors. Dispatch picks up the phone, paperwork goes out the same day you ask, and your customer can follow the load through a link that needs no sign-up.

About us

Short version: we haul the freight we confirm, and we stay reachable until it is delivered.

Royser works out of Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Our trucks go to all 48 contiguous states, with dry van and Conestoga trailers chosen to fit the freight.

Every tractor is a Volvo with an ELD. Trailer options are dry van, Conestoga, step deck and RGN, plus drop trailer service, so the freight rides on the right equipment rather than the closest one.

Booking a load with us means dealing with the company that owns the trucks and runs the dispatch. Nobody shops your pickup around before a truck is assigned.

Brokers tend to pick us for three reasons:

  • Plain rates — when the lane suits us, you get a number without a long wait.
  • Quick onboarding — W-9, insurance certificate, authority and carrier packet without a week of emails.
  • Visibility — a tracking link your customer opens without creating an account.

When a lane is wrong for us, we say so early instead of eating your customer's pickup window. That beats "checking with the driver" for six hours.

Why us

Why brokers book with Royser

Practical help when a load needs a truck.

Rate confirmations that hold

Send the pickup and drop, trailer type, weight and dates. If a dry van or Conestoga load fits, you get a real number, not a rough guess that moves at booking.

Paperwork on hand

Need our packet to set us up? Ask once. W-9, insurance certificate, MC and USDOT details and authority papers go out quickly, so your team is not left waiting.

Tracking you can forward

After booking, we can share tracking details through royser.org/tracking. Your customer sees where the load is without logging in, which means fewer "where is my truck?" emails for everyone.

One dispatch line

You talk to the same people each time. We send updates before the shipper has to chase you, because freight does not stop when the office closes.

Trucks that arrive

Volvo tractors kept in order and run with ELDs, so scheduled loads see fewer breakdowns and fewer wrong-trailer surprises.

Illinois base, national lanes

Local and regional work around Chicago, plus dry van and Conestoga runs across the country when a customer needs a long haul.

Equipment

Trailers in the yard

The right trailer for the freight: full truckloads, drop trailers and covered loads.

Dry Van 53-foot · full loads & drop trailers · 48 states
Conestoga Covered from the weather, loads like a flatbed
RGN / Heavy Haul Heavy and oversized loads

Dry van is most of our work: full truckloads and drop trailers for shippers who need flexible dock times.

A Conestoga keeps freight covered from the weather and still loads from the side, like a flatbed. RGN and step deck trailers take heavy or oversize freight that will not fit a standard deck. Not sure what fits? Send the commodity and dimensions and we will answer plainly.

Lanes

Loads we want and loads we pass on

What tends to work for us, and what we usually decline.

A good match

  • Local and regional dry van loads around Chicago with fixed pickup times
  • Full dry van loads anywhere in the lower 48 with weight and accessorials stated up front
  • Drop trailer programs for repeat shippers
  • Conestoga loads where tarping and strapping are spelled out in advance
  • Loads where the end customer wants a tracking link

Usually a no

  • Loads with vague equipment promises, or a "we will find a truck somewhere in Ohio" plan
  • Loads we would have to pass to another carrier to cover
  • Missing details: no weight, no trailer type, no dates
  • Rates that do not fit a tight pickup window
  • Hazmat we are not set up for. If you are unsure, ask first.

The coverage map is on the home page under Where we run. For a quick price on a lane, use Price a lane or call dispatch.

Process

How a load usually goes

From the first message to proof of delivery, nothing unexpected.

  1. 1
    Send the lane

Pickup and drop points, trailer type, weight, commodity and dates. Call or use the form, whichever is easier.

  2. 2
    Receive a firm rate

We price the loads that fit and send one clear all-in number. If we are not the right truck, we tell you.

  3. 3
    Paperwork and rate confirmation

Documents on file, rate confirmation signed, driver assigned, and arrival times your team can see.

  4. 4
    Track and deliver

A tracking link to share while the load is moving, then proof of delivery and paperwork after the drop so you can close the load with your customer.

FAQ

Broker questions

Straight answers before you send us your first load.

Are you a carrier or a broker?

A carrier (MC# {{MC}}). We run our own trucks and our own dispatch, and we do not cover your freight by passing it to an unknown carrier.

How fast can you send the carrier packet?

On request, during business hours. Ask above or call dispatch. W-9, insurance certificate and authority papers are ready to go.

Can my customer follow the load without logging in?

Yes. Once the load is booked, we can send a link to pass along. See Track a load.

Do you offer drop trailers?

Yes. We can leave a trailer for shippers who need flexible loading and unloading times. Mention it when you ask for a rate or the packet.

Can I book a dock time in advance?

Yes. Request a time on the Book a dock time page. Dispatch confirms the date and hour before anyone drives to the yard.

Who do I call when I need help?

Dispatch, at +1 (224) 877-0350. We handle freight that cannot wait for the next business day.
