Royser FMCSA Compliance

What the notice actually said

On day 91 the interstate lights can go out. Under the final rule effective April 16, 2000, interstate owners, operators, brokers and freight forwarders who ignore FMCSA civil penalties, or a payment plan, face a prohibition on interstate commerce starting on the 91st day after the due date.

Civil penalties only work if non-payment has a consequence, and this rule is that consequence. Keep operating and you can lose registration, with additional penalties for continuing to roll and, in some cases, revocation.

Chapter 11 debtors get a stated carve-out. Old delinquencies were not swept in retroactively unless a new final order issued on or after the effective date. Confirm the current text before treating a 2000 sentence as today's bankruptcy advice.

A cheap carrier that never pays its tickets is not a discount. It is a day-91 shutdown risk. This is about FMCSA civil penalties, not a city parking meter.

Brokers and forwarders lose registration too. Last year's rate confirmation does not survive suspended authority. Check SAFER, not a PDF.

What it changes on Monday

Check SAFER and authority status, not last year's rate confirmation PDF. See the broker packet. The named MC: About Royser.

We pay what we owe. We do not book a broker whose authority is one unpaid civil penalty away from suspension. A city parking ticket is not this rule; an FMCSA fine is.

A companion for when the cheap MC is also a rented number: do not sell a USDOT or MC. Quote the freight: Price a lane.

We are not your fine-payment plan. We are the named MC that still answers: +1 (224) 877-0350.

What we will and will not do

We will pay what we owe. We will not run a day-91 operation, and we will not book a broker whose registration hangs on an unpaid civil penalty.

We are not your payment plan and we are not a city-meter advisor. FMCSA civil penalties are the subject of this page.

Want a carrier that still answers? +1 (224) 877-0350. A person at the desk. Check SAFER for everyone else.

FAQ

Does this apply to parking tickets?

It applies to FMCSA civil penalties, not a city meter. Day 91 is the interstate-commerce prohibition after an unpaid agency fine or a missed plan payment.

What if a broker has not paid?

Registration can be suspended under the rule. Check SAFER, not last year's rate confirmation PDF.

What about Chapter 11?

The announcement states a debtor carve-out. Confirm the current text; this page is not bankruptcy advice.

What about your own fines?

We do not run a day-91 operation. We pay what we owe and we still answer the phone.
